بيان التجمع العربي والإسلامي لدعم خيار المقاومة حول محاولة اغتيال منسق فرع جنوب افريقيا

تعليقاً على تعرض المنسق العام لفرع التجمع العربي والإسلامي لدعم خيار المقاومة في جمهورية جنوب افريقيا، صدر عن التجمع البيان التالي:

يعلن التجمع العربي والإسلامي لدعم خيار المقاومة بشخص أمينه العام د. يحيى غدار شجبه واستنكاره لمحاولة الاغتيال الآثمة التي تعرض لها السيد امبو ماسيمولا رئيس رابطة الاسرى القدامى – المنسق العام لفرع التجمع في جنوب أفريقيا.

إنّنا إذ نعبر عن عميق تضامننا ووقوفنا جنباً إلى جنب مع كل أبناء شعب جنوب أفريقيا في نضالهم المستمر ضد الإرهاب والعنصرية والاستعمار والصهيونية، نتمنى للأستاذ ماسيمولا الشفاء العاجل ودوام الصحة والإنجازات…

يذكر أن محاولة الاغتيال جرت من خلال رش مواد كيميائية سامة على وجهه وجسمه من الأشخاص الذين كانوا يلاحقونه، إلا أن من حسن حظه أنه سرعان ما تنّبه بعض عناصر الأمن المتواجدين في المكان لما جرى، واستطاعوا إسعافه الى المستشفى العسكري ويتم علاجه لينجو منها بأعجوبة… وهذه المحاولة أتت بدوافع عنصرية على يد مجموعة من العناصر اليمينية التي تعمل تحت غطاء شركة أمنية خاصة، وقد استهدفت الأخ ماسيمولا الذي سبق أن حكم 12 عاما من قبل نظام الابرتهايد وهو مناضل قديم في صفوف المؤتمر الوطني الافريقي ANC ومدير عام في وزارة الدفاع في جمهورية جنوب أفريقيا…

Commenting on the attack against the General Coordinator of the Arab and Islamic Gathering is support of the option of Resistance located in the Republic of South Africa, the Gathering issued the following statement:

 The Arab and Islamic gathering in support of the option of Resistance announces in the person of its Secretary-General Dr. Yahya Ghaddar its condemnation of the assassination attempt against Mr. Mpho Masemola, President of the Association of Veterans of Prisoners and General Coordinator of the South African Gathering Branch.

We express our deepest solidarity by standing side by side with all the people of South Africa in their ongoing struggle against terrorism, racism, colonialism and Zionism. We wish Mr. Masemola a speedy recovery, lasting health and great achievements.

It is noteworthy that the assassination attempt was carried out by spraying toxic chemicals on the face and body of Mr. Masemola by a group who were chasing him. Mr. Masemola fortunately quickly alerted some of the security personnel present in the place of the incident, and they were able to rescue him to the military hospital where he was treated and miraculously survived.

This attempt was racially motivated by a group of right-wing elements operating under the guise of a private security company. They targeted Brother Masemola, who was detained for 12 years by the apartheid regime, an old fighter in the ranks of the African National Congress (ANC) and director general of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of South Africa.
